Virtual Kitchen Table

Mothers are Women has an email discussion group on the Onelist automated emailing system called Virtual Kitchen Table (VKT). We have 50 MAW members as subscribers, and discuss a myriad of issues, both political and personal, about feminism and motherhood.

We collectively take on the role of List Sisters remembering that we are all women with herstories, personalities, strengths and weaknesses.

We are all mothers: overworked, unpaid and underpaid. We have many demands made upon us and little time.

Through this list, we seek mutual support, respect, companionship and understanding about ourselves, our minds and our hearts.

We have a commitment to feminism which affirms for us our right as women to make choices, in so far as we are able, in our lives.

We want to rock the cradle and change the world.

After we confirm your MAW membership, you will be added as a subscriber to our list, sent the MAW List Rules and Netiquette, and asked to send in a brief introductory bio to the list.
